TERMS, CONDITIONS
and ADDITIONAL HUNT INFORMATION
These are all inclusive prices
in U.S. funds with the hunting licenses and taxes included.
The hunts are generally 1 hunter to 1 guide. Call us if you
wish to set up a 2 on 1 hunt.
How to book your hunt:
We require a deposit of 25% of the total hunt cost to book
a hunt and secure your spot for the upcoming season. A further
25% is required by the end of February during the year of
your hunt. The Final 50% is then required by the beginning
of August of your hunt year. Contracts are made up once the
initial deposit is received. All deposits are non-refundable
but we may be able to transfer the hunt to a different year
or to a different person if our schedule permits.
What do we provide?
We provide all your meals, accommodations, transportation
during the hunt and field care of trophies. Liquor is not
provided. We will stop at a store for you to purchase
any alcoholic beverages or other items you want on your way
to the hunting area.
What Extra Costs are not
included in the hunt fee?
Hunters usually require a one night hotel stay in Calgary
prior to their hunt, and may require another at the end
of their hunt. This usually ends up being around $110 Canadian
per night. Rifle hunters will require a $30 processing fee
at Canadian Customs upon their arrival. If meat is to be
taken there will be extra fees to take the animal to a butcher
and to have them ship it to you. We can also take you to
a taxidermist in our area if you wish.
What Travel arrangements will be necessary?
For our Bowhunts you will have to fly into the Calgary International
Airport on the Saturday before your hunt starts. We can
pick you up from airport or you can take a shuttle to your
hotel (We can help you book a good rate at an airport hotel
if you wish, just talk to us about it when booking your
hunt). The reason that ask you to come early is it leaves
us time to sort out and issues the airlines could have such
as lost luggage. The Sunday you will then be picked up from
your hotel and driven down to the hunting area (about a
3-4 hour drive)
For our Rifle hunts you will have to arrive in Calgary the
Tuesday before your hunt starts and you will be picked up
from the airport and taken to the hunting area (about a
3 hour drive). You will return to Calgary on Sunday to fly
home.
How do I get my trophy
home?
The easiest way to get your antlers and cape back home is
for us to put the items in a cardboard shipping box and
for you to take it with you or your flight home. We put
hose, foam, or newspaper around the antler tips to prevent
damage and we freeze the cape. You can then pack clothes
around the antlers inside the box to further protect them.
If you want to take meat back with you please call us as
the process can be quite complicated and the necessary steps
are always changing.
Additional Hunt Information:
It is your responsibility to make sure you will not be refused
entry into Canada. If you've ever had any criminal charges,
even a D.U.I., you might have difficulty entering Canada
and may need to clear it up months beforehand. Call if you
have questions about it. If you have another hunt planned
in Alberta in the same year you can only shoot one animal
of each species per year. Firearms also will need the proper
forms to be brought into Canada. Please call us if you have
any questions about anything.
Wound Policy
We have a wound policy. That means that if you draw blood
on an animal it is up to the guide to decide how much time
is spent looking for that animal. Of course we always make
every effort to recover any wounded animals and we don't
encourage unethical shots.
